Wow-I forgot you were here

i always forget about this little side-blog, and then I even begin to wonder what a sideblog is at all.  maybe if I get an iPhone one day I will have a better reason for this, but I guess I will keep viewing it as a place for more off-the-cuff postings, and random music stuff.

Lately I have been thinking more about the idea of an active faith.  So many times in life, even though I have thought I was participating, I realize that I lead a fairly passive faith.  I participate in worship, teach at places, but overall-don’t really get down that much with what I claim to believe.

I always joke that I have a list of big, smart sounding words to make my $40,000 seminary education worthwhile.  One of the words on the list is Embodiment.  Not the sweet hardcore band from the 90’s, but the idea of a belief that is evident through its “dwelling with”.

I keep thinking that life will be weird now that I don’t have a traditional ministry type job.

But that doesn’t matter.  Christ gave us an example of a life that was simply lived out with people.  That makes me happy.  So I now pursue real life.  That means friendships, good conversation and alot of laughter.
