Shooting for brutal honesty

One of the values that I have been told comes across easy in me is transparency and allowing others into my life really quick.  I was surprised to see this happen, but it was drilled into during my time at the Louisiana Tech Wesley.  Over the last few months I have been running in circles regarding life and asking myself alot of questions.  I have questioned the theological education I am almost finished with in terms of spiritual formation.  I told a good friend that I don’t think I was every taught to pray well (if we can do that).  I started back along a journey of fascination with Eastern Orthodox monasticism, and possibly scared Meredith.

All that to say-it has been a wild spring.  I changed the tagline to this blog, because I think I am going to start using it.  Instead of theological mumbo jumbo- I am shooting for brutal honesty.  Years ago I developed a pattern of journaling that was great for me, and I want to think about how that type of openness can be helpful to the Christian leader/minister/pastor/whatever the cool title is now.

There we go-
